Dot Terms of Service

Effective Date: October 26, 2026

These Terms are an agreement between you and Callabra AI LLC ("Callabra," "we," "us"). They govern Dot, our personal AI calling service. By signing up or using Dot, you agree to these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.

The short version

  • Dot makes personal phone calls for you when instructed by your connected AI assistant. It introduces itself as your AI assistant, not as a human.
  • You control who Dot calls and what you authorize it to say or agree to. Use it lawfully and respect requests to stop calling.
  • Dot processes calls live and creates transcripts and summaries. It does not offer a call-recording feature.
  • Plans renew monthly until canceled. Extra minutes cost extra. You can cancel in Settings → Your plan.
  • AI can make mistakes. Check important arrangements yourself. Dot is not for emergencies or payments.

1. What Dot does

Dot connects with supported third-party AI assistants, including Claude, ChatGPT and Muse, so your assistant can request phone calls on your behalf. Dot can help arrange or change appointments, request quotes, follow up on personal matters, check orders and contact people you know. It can leave a voicemail, produce a transcript and summary, and share results with your connected assistant.

Dot uses your verified mobile number as the outgoing caller ID and callback number, though carriers may occasionally change or suppress what recipients see. US accounts can call supported US numbers; Israeli accounts can call supported Israeli numbers. Canadian, international, premium-rate, emergency and certain other numbers are not supported. We may restrict destinations or calling activity for safety, fraud prevention or legal reasons.

Dot is for adults 18+ using it for their own personal needs, not as a commercial calling service. You must control or be authorized to use the number you verify and must keep your account information accurate.

2. Your instructions and authority

When your connected assistant sends Dot a request using your authorized connection, we treat it as your instruction. You appoint Dot to communicate on your behalf within the instructions and permissions you provide. You are responsible for the accuracy of those instructions, the information you supply and any arrangements you authorize Dot to make. The other person or business may have its own terms, policies or fees.

Dot is not authorized to make or accept payments, disclose payment-card or bank details, or take action outside the permissions you give it. Do not use Dot to make high-stakes medical, legal or financial decisions. Review important call results and confirm appointments or commitments when necessary.

You are responsible for requesting only lawful calls and for obtaining any permission or consent required by applicable rules for AI-generated calls, transcription or sharing other people's information. Knowing someone or finding a publicly listed number does not necessarily establish legal permission. We may decline calls or restrict misuse. Nothing in these Terms excludes Callabra's own duties under applicable law.

3. Acceptable use and don't-call requests

Use Dot for genuine personal communication. You must not use it for:

If a recipient tells Dot to stop calling, Dot ends the call and blocks future Dot calls to that number from your account. This is an account-specific block, not a promise that every Dot user is blocked from calling that number. A recipient may also report unwanted calls to privacy@callabra.ai. We may take additional action where required by law.

We use automated checks of call requests and call activity to detect misuse. They may refuse a call, issue warnings or automatically pause an account. We may review complaints and suspend or close accounts for serious or repeated violations. Contact us if you believe a restriction was a mistake.

4. AI calls, voicemail and transcription

Dot identifies itself at the start of calls as your AI assistant, not a human, and answers honestly if asked. For example: “Hi, I'm Dana's AI virtual assistant.” Voicemails identify the person Dot represents and provide their callback number. We may give additional disclosures where required by law.

Dot streams call audio through its communications and speech-processing providers to understand the conversation. Dot does not store call-audio recordings. Dot creates and retains written transcripts, summaries and call information as described in the Privacy Policy. You understand that people you call may hear an AI-generated voice and that their words may be transcribed and shared with you and your connected assistant. Dot may end a call when the recipient objects or when continuing would be unlawful. Nothing in these Terms makes a legally required consent unnecessary.

You can set saved profile details to Always, Ask or Never for what Dot is allowed to say. Dot is designed to follow your permissions, but AI can make mistakes. Avoid putting especially sensitive information into a call unless needed. Private instructions from your connected assistant are intended to guide Dot, not to be spoken to the recipient.

5. Plans, minutes and payment

Plan Monthly price Included minutes Extra minutes
Dot Personal (US) $19 USD 60 $0.29/minute
Dot Personal Israel $29 USD 40 $0.49/minute

Prices are denominated in USD. Your plan depends on your verified number's country. We charge the monthly fee when you subscribe and automatically renew and charge it each month until you cancel. We show the applicable price, renewal terms and extra-minute rate before you subscribe. Promotions apply only as described at checkout and do not reduce extra-minute rates unless expressly stated.

Each connected call, including voicemail, is rounded up to the next full minute. Unanswered and failed calls are not charged; the initial setup test call is free. Included minutes reset each billing month and do not roll over. Once you exceed them, we charge extra minutes at the stated rate. Accumulated extra-minute charges are billed whenever they reach approximately $30 after a call, and any remainder is billed at the end of the period or when your subscription ends. More than 1 extra-minute charge may occur in a month. Unless explicitly offered in your account, there is no spending cap.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We may retry unsuccessful payments and pause new calls while charges remain unpaid. You remain responsible for valid charges already incurred. You can contact support about billing errors without losing your right to dispute a charge with your payment provider.

Taxes and currency. The listed prices and charges are in USD. We currently do not add a separate sales-tax or VAT charge at checkout. This does not exclude any tax obligations imposed by law. If taxes become separately payable by you, we will disclose them before charging them. Your card issuer may apply currency-conversion or foreign-transaction fees.

We may change future prices. We will give required advance notice and a way to cancel before a price increase applies. Any changed price will apply only to future billing periods.

6. Cancellation and refunds

Cancel online at any time: Settings → Your plan → Cancel plan. You can also contact support@callabra.ai if the online option is unavailable.

US plans: Cancellation stops the next monthly renewal. Your existing paid plan remains active through the end of your current billing period. Subscription fees and unused minutes are generally nonrefundable, except where law requires otherwise or we expressly offer a refund. Any extra minutes already used remain payable.

Israel plans: You can cancel at any time in Settings → Your plan → Cancel plan, or by emailing support@callabra.ai. Cancellation takes effect 3 Israeli business days (Sunday–Thursday) after we receive your notice, 6 business days for a notice sent by registered mail, or on a later date you request. If your current billing month ends first, cancellation takes effect at the end of that month. When your plan ends, we refund the unused part of that month's plan payment, calculated pro rata, to the card that paid. Extra minutes used until your plan ends are charged as usual.

Canceling within 14 days of subscribing. If you cancel within 14 days of subscribing, Israeli consumer law lets us deduct a cancellation fee of 5% of that month's plan payment or ₪100 (charged as US$27), whichever is lower, and charge for the service already provided. We deduct that fee from your refund, and we never charge more than the refund. After those 14 days, there is no cancellation fee. Extended cancellation rights may apply to eligible consumers under Israeli law. We will honor legally required refund deadlines and any additional cancellation methods required by Israeli law.

If we permanently discontinue a prepaid service, we will refund the unused prepaid portion of the affected subscription unless the law provides a different remedy.

7. Accounts and third-party assistants

You sign in through emailed codes. Keep your email account, connector links and keys secure. Anyone with an active connector credential may be able to request calls and use minutes on your account. Reset a compromised credential in Settings as soon as possible.

Claude, ChatGPT, Muse and other connected services have their own terms and privacy practices. You authorize us to share the information needed for your connected assistant to request calls and receive results. We are not responsible for independent third-party services, but remain responsible for Dot as required by law. Dot also depends on telecom, AI, payment and hosting providers; outages and failures can occur.

8. Your information and our technology

You keep any rights you have in your profile information, contacts, instructions and other material you provide. You authorize Callabra and its service providers to process that material and call information to provide Dot, share results with your connected assistant, bill you, provide support, prevent misuse and comply with law. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Dot's technology, software, brand, voice systems and designs belong to Callabra or its licensors. You receive a limited, personal, nontransferable right to use the Service while your account is active. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or interfere with the Service, except where the law permits.

9. AI limitations and liability

Dot can misunderstand speech, provide an incorrect summary, make an error or fail to complete a task. We do not guarantee successful calls, accurate information from third parties or uninterrupted availability. Dot is not an emergency service. In the US call 911; in Israel call 100 for police, 101 for ambulance or 102 for fire emergencies.

To the extent permitted by law, Dot is provided “as is” and “as available”, without implied warranties. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost opportunities, missed appointments or third-party fees.

To the extent permitted by law, Callabra's total liability relating to Dot is limited to the greater of $100 or the fees you paid for Dot during the 6 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limit does not apply to fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence or rights and remedies that cannot lawfully be limited.

If your intentional misconduct, fraud or material violation of these Terms causes a third-party claim against Callabra, you agree, to the extent permitted by law, to reimburse our reasonable directly resulting losses and legal expenses. You are not responsible under this clause for claims caused by Callabra's own wrongful acts.

10. Suspension, account deletion and changes

We may restrict, suspend or terminate the Service for unlawful use, serious misuse, payment problems, security threats or provider/legal requirements. We may change or discontinue features. We will provide notices and refunds where required by law.

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account; if your plan is still active, this also cancels it. If account deletion is unavailable because of an unpaid charge, an account hold or another issue, contact privacy@callabra.ai; we will handle any valid privacy request under applicable law. Certain financial, security, suppression and provider records may be retained as explained in our Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms and show the new effective date. We will provide legally required advance notice of material changes and obtain renewed consent where required. You may cancel your subscription if you disagree.

11. Disputes and governing law

US customers. California law governs these Terms, without taking away mandatory federal or state consumer protections. Before starting a formal dispute, either party may send a written notice to legal@callabra.ai and allow 30 days to try to resolve it. Except for qualifying small-claims cases and claims for relief that cannot lawfully be forced into arbitration, disputes will be resolved through individual arbitration under the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration procedures and fees follow those rules and applicable law. To the extent legally permitted, claims in arbitration must be brought individually and not as a class or collective claim. Any right to seek public injunctive relief that cannot be waived remains available in an appropriate forum. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days after accepting these Terms by emailing legal@callabra.ai with your account email and a statement that you opt out of arbitration.

Israeli customers. The arbitration and class-action provisions above do not apply. Mandatory Israeli consumer law remains available to you, and disputes may be brought before courts with jurisdiction under Israeli law.
